It All Comes Down To ThisI once again pop my head in one month after my last post to give an update on what's going on to those who give a fuck.
After working myself sick, I've yet to learn my lesson. Pulling 70-80 hour weeks until I dropped didn't deter me from starting right back on that course as soon as I got back on my feet. The hours have taken a slight dip so it's closer to 60 but it's still just a matter of balance. Classes are now done officially until January as far as I can guess but that doesn't mean it's over. I still have a website project to get in for mid next week that I'm just putting the finishing touchs on after a marathon coding session. Still need to finish beating the layers into submission so they resize properly when changing window size or for different monitors. I can't tell if it would be worse if I went just with tables...Yeah, it would.
I also have a 3D animation to finish. And by finish I mean start. I have ideas, I just need the time to get started. I can tell right now it's not going to be anything that'll wow anyone, but seeing as how I hate 3D, it'll be good enough.
Then there's the radio website project. Got quasi booted off the team before any true work started because I couldn't make it to the meeting. I had sent an email to the project head stating I wouldn't be able to make the meeting but apparently being committed to the project means quitting my job so I can make it to every meeting. I went to the meeting today and said I'd helpby creating some of the downloads for the site. Usual stuff like desktops and screensavers but the interesting one was the Windows Media Player skins. I ran through a tutorial tonight and after some messing around with it, I was able to create a basic no frills skin. I can tell anything worth doing in terms of the skin will take a lot of time and they want this stuff by Wednesday. We'll see.
After all the class stuff gets done, (or before, we'll see if I can walk on water,) I have a few freelance things to get out of the way.
The closest being the website updating for a woman I met through work. her business website needs updating which shouldn't have taken as long as it has but it's hit a few snags along the way getting us both on the same page.
Then there is the logo. It's still hasn't been finished. Yes, me, the guy who has been asked for a logo in the past and finished it and sent it off in the same afternoon is still working on a request from October. Can you tell how busy and sleep deprived I've been? Yes this is a freebie thing and it should be less of a priority than stuff that determines whether I continue in my program or not, but I still feel like a dirty slacker for not having it done. I feel very unprofessional for having it take so long and I should. There's no excuse for it despite the past few hellish months I've been forced to endure. It's coming and will be done before weeks end or I'm beating myself with a bat I promise.
I can rest when I'm dead.
I ate a lot of garlic and just farted. Silent but deadly.
