I'm figuring a picture bonanza will strike the site after Christmas as I snap dozen upon dozen of Christmas shots. I'm sure you'll all love them. Who doesn't seeing family photos of people they don't know?

Also signed up for the Star Wars Galaxies beta. Here's hoping that a) I get in and b) I get some more RAM into this computer of mine. RAM is the only thing keeping this could-be bad boy from hitting multiplayer games and eating the other computers. That would be cool to see.

I have come back to you now, at the turn of the tide.

Been a week now. Boy, how the time just flies.

So I'm at the beginning of a four day weekend. I love how that sounds. Say it with me: FOUR DAY WEEKEND. Then after next week comes a two week holiday. God, I love this time of the year.

But so far, nothing much has been going on. The good times are just building up and waiting for Christmas I guess.

Looking over the releases for the next few months and I think that the theatres will be taking a good chunk of my money. The Two Towers, Daredevil, X-Men 2, which I can't believe they haven't been hyping for months yet, TWO Matrix sequels, the Hulk in the summer. It definitely looks like a good time to watch movies.

Of course, they could all bomb and crush my faith in filmmaker's abilities to make good movies from good material. - asmyth82 11:37 AM -

The countdown continues

So to recap: I have to work Friday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, then another Mon Wed Fri and then vacation time. I'm looking forward to it so much since it has been next to forever since I had a break from both school and work and perhaps even longer since I've had a vacation in general.

And as if some higher beings wanted to send me a message that they're not going to kick me around at this time of the year, I found out my Friday the 13th shift is cancelled. Great day in the mornin'.

My semester is wrapped up at the end of the week but it just slowly seems to want to drag on. I'm thinking I was just rusty and needed to work out my creative muscles again since I'm only now starting to come up with projects that I don't think look like utter crap. I got back my poster/comic I had posted here earlier and my mark was anything but impressive. It was the first project I had so far been proud of and thought I did well on but the D+ said otherwise. The mark was later changed to a C+ when I explained the poster to the prof. Apparently he didn't think it was creative and thought the can had fallen over, erasing the character's work. I don't know which world he's living in, but a can staying upright and growing arms does not fit into the description of falling over.

I'm planning on buying an Xbox early next week. I figured what the hell, it's Christmas, right? Perhaps the I can stop spending large amounts of money monthly. My digital camera, my cell phone and now the Xbox will constitute 3 consecutive months of big spending. And the most I used to ever spend at one time was no more than $200. But I'm making more money these days so I can splurge.

The Art of Posting

This is it, the final stretch. After this week I will have no more projects to do for about a month. and I will slowly begin my vacation. A coule more weeks and I'll be off of work too.

The feeling after having gotten through a hectic few weeks is always great. It's kind of like finishing a really long shift of a job you don't like and realizing that you are now at the longest point before having to work again. Unless of course you work two jobs, then you're kinda screwed.

I'm sure that I'll be busy the next few weekends depsite having no more shopping to do. Parties and get togethers and whatnot. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see some friends I haven't seen in a long time, but not having anything planned with any of them at this point, I won't hold my breath.

The Two Towers starts on the 18th. Stupid to come out on a Wednesday, especially since I have to work that day, but I wouldn't count on being able to buy tickets even if I had the day off. Perhaps the midnight show. Definitely something to look into. A good start would be to find out if there are any midnight showings in my area.

Hope everyone is doing well. Since I'll most likely have enough free time next week, I'm sure I'll be in the ol' chat room. But since it is the holiday season, I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't run into anyone in there.
