Now with updatey goodness

Boy it's just been a rush here lately. Four projects coming due quickly, work and other stuff to do and less and less time to do it in.

My birthday is next Friday, I hope all your presents are in the mail. Reminds me of what a telemarketer said to me when she called a few weeks ago: "Oh, your birthday is coming up, don't drink to much." Hey moron, I'm Canadian. I've been "drinking too much" legally for nearly three years now.

I booked off the Friday, Saturday and Sunday from work to go out of town since a cousin is having her birthday around the same time. Also goes to show there is no distance too great for me to travel for a free steak dinner.

Unfortunately some teachers didn't get the "It's my birthday, take your work and fuck off" memo. I have not only a project due Friday but also the oral presentation that accompanies it to do. Not to mention a project due Monday and another Tuesday. Yeah thanks for ruining my weekend you bastards.

I got home from work yesterday to a message from a friend wondering if I was going to be able to go to the comedy club that night. I called her back and said this had been the first I'd heard of it. Apparently another friend was supposed to invite me.

Anyways, the show was pretty unfunny. I'd seen the first guy on TV so I knew all his shit already. The second guy was good. The headliner was the head writer for the Mike Bullard show. For those of you non Canadians who don't know Mike Bullard, he's the Northern version of David Letterman, except unfunny to the point of wanting to kill yourself instead of listening to him. The best part about his act? A foursome had arrived to the show wasted already so they heckled and started trying to have a conversation with the guy in the middle of his set. It got to the point where he finally said to the girl from Quesbec doing the most talking and proving people with brain damage can still get out of the house, and I quote :"Why don't you just stand up so we can all look at your breasts so you can get the attention you want then shut the fuck up?" So what does she do? She stands up and pulls up her shirt, letting everyone stare at her breasts. This is the only time I'll ever say thank God for Quebec.

And me without my camera

Hello, hypocrite

Remember what I said about wanting all of you to post regularly? Well do as I say, not as I do.

I can tell I'm back in class when I wake up early to get some work on a project and discover I have two others that I'd forgotten about.

The third year lab is getting the brand new G5s put in as I type this. They finally arrived! Now it'll will be easier getting worl done since we'll have our own lab instead of trying to squeeze time in in the first and second year labs. Yeah, that's what was keeping me from getting anything done.

I had done a poster for my mom's church group for their Christmas bazaar. She had given me all the copy, I'd done it, had her check all the semi comps and whatnot, burned the file in a couple of different formats just to be safe on my last blank disk and she had it printed. Two days later she comes back and says that she had made a mistake on some of the copy. Not spelling or anything, but one of the events listed wasn't going to happen. At least it wasn't my fault.

No, it's never my fault

Decisions, decisions

What to do, what to do?

Such tough choices to make in life sometimes.

For example, my dilemma:

Should I pick up doughnuts at London's brand spanking new Krispy Kreme before or after picking up my copy of the second volume of Family Guy?

I would have been a little faster with the link, but Amazon has Anna Kournikova hawking bras right on the front page.

OK just gotta get..........What's my name again?

I can't do that Dave

Just a note to all of you while I think of it.

I want to see posting from all of you.

Think of it as a challenge, think of it as an adventure. Hell, think of it as a selfish order from someone who'll be back in a lab with nothing better to do most of the times than click through the ring constantly, (or click through it as best as possible, the next on Greywolf doesn't seem to load for me. Oh well, resort to the link to continue.)

Now I know what some of you are thinking, "Screw you! I post often enough." Yes one or two of you do and I'm not talking to you, you can go back to your little corners and keep doing what you're doing. As for the rest of you: post.

Sure this sounds a little hypocritical coming from me. For a while there I updated once a week at best. Well I'm getting back into it as always seems to be the case around this time of year. I know you're busy. I'm not asking you to write a fucking novel, just post occasionally. It doesn't have to be every day, just often enough that cobwebs don't start collecting.

There. I've made my request/challenge/demand.

And if you don't, I'll stop the universe from revolving around me and you'll all fly off into space. You wouldn't want that, now would you?

A post of two purposes!

That's right, I have two reasons for this post. They are, in no particular order, to make it known my classes start tomorrow. What's that? Yes, yes, I know you don't care. I also know I didn't bother asking if you did or care about your opinion on the matter.

The second reason for the post is to push that godawful, sorry excuse for an image I put up last post down so it isn't staring me in the face with it's utter awfulness. Why don't I just remove it if I hate it so much you ask? Because I don't want to start getting into the habit of editing out stuff in my posts. A stand against erasist history. There's enough of that in the history books and I for one will live with my mistakes even if it is as ugly as sin. Now stop talking to your computer monitor. People will start to think you're crazy.

On an unrelated note, here's something I don't understand. The Underworld trailer has some sweet music in it. Further digging reveals that the song in question, Red Tape by Agent Provocateur, is not on the soundtrack for the movie. Well there goes the thought of me buying the soundtrack, or even getting it from the Kazaa store, as Matt calls it. Turns out the song was on thesoundtrack of the Bruce Willis/Richard Gere movie, The Jackal. Which was a remake of Day of the Jackal. Just in case you were wondering.

You weren't? Again, I don't remember saying I gave a damn
