The Highlander Was A Documentary, And The Events Happened In Realtime

I'm graduating tomorrow. I mention this because I might as well. This blog has basically documented the biggest events in my life for the past number of years. (And reading through past entries, that is really, really sad.)

Got another credit card today. Basically getting caught on the phone went like this:

Them:"Hello, I'm talking to fast with a heavy accent so you can't understand me."
Me:"What? I'm sorry, I can't understand you."
Them:"I know, that's the point. We're sending you a credit card."
Me:"No thanks. I already have two and I don't need another."
Them:"Too fucking bad. I either send it to you or they fire me since I don't meet my quota because working for a call centre they treat their employees like nonhumans."


Here's a secret to all of you who have never worked for a call centre. They're thankful when you don't answer the phone. It gets annoying day after day having people hang up on you or swear or whatever. I was grateful when the phone wouldn't be answered. It meant I could hang up and move on. The money was usually good, but the crap annoyed people gave you and being treated like crap by your bosses because, hey, they could fire you and four people would be waiting to take your place.

I don't know why I went on about that. It's been a long, boring day and I'm tired. I'll leave it at that and say goodnight.

Shirking my Duties

Yes, it has been a while since I last posted. But I have a note, so it's OK. Basically been working my ass off on a variety of things and haven't had much chance to catch my breath. As such, I really have had nothing interesting to say.

This weekend is the Labatt 24 Hour Relay, so I'm hoping the weather will be good, which it looks like it's going to be. Nothing worse than having an outdoor event ruined by rain. It'll be a weekend of hanging out and drinking. It'll be a blast.

Other than that, a few projects are on the go. A website is underway, a business is in the early stages of being set up. I would try to squeeze in time for that BROF portrait, but since no one has sent images, that's being waited on. I just add that to let people know I haven't forgotten about it, I just haven't received anything to work on it. All that plus my paying job which I've been getting lots of hours the past few weeks. Lord knows I can use the money, since there are bills to pay, some tuition that stills sits on a credit card, etc.

On the annoying side, instead of automatically getting in for the optional fourth year like we were promised, a bunch of us have been put on the waiting list. That's damned annoying. Hopefully we'll be accepted before the beginning of the semester or I have to rethink my plans for the year.
